PUMPKIN PIE I

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 3/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 3/4 cups hot milk
  • 1 Tablespoon buttermilk, melted

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs together. Gradually add honey, spices, pumpkin, milk and melted butter. Pour into your favorite pie shell. Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes. Lower heat to 350° and bake for 20 to 25 minutes longer. Pie is done when knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before serving. If desired, top with whipped cream.
