Tuna with Wasabi-Green Onion Mayo

  • 1/2 cup mayonaise
  • 2 tbs minced green onions (white and green parts)
  • 1 tsp wasabi (or more to taste)
  • 2 tbs teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs rice vinegar
  • 4 8-oz tuna steaks, about 1 inch thick


  1. blend mayo, onions and wasabi in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate.

  2. Whisk teriyaki, soy, and rice vinegar in a small bowl. Place tuna steaks in sealable bag, add teriyaki mixture. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes, turning ovre occasionally.

  3. Prepare grill to medium high. Grill tuna to desired doneness, 4 minutes per side for medium. Top with wasabi mayo and serve
