Crescent-Wrapped Brie

Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves 5 people

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 round (8 oz) Brie cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350

  2. Unroll dough, pat to form 2 squares.

  3. Place 1 square on ungreased cookie sheet.

  4. Place cheese on center of dough.

  5. With small cookie cutter, cut 1 shape from each corner of remaining square, set cutouts aside

  6. Place remaining sqare on top of cheese round.

  7. Press dough evenly around cheese, fold bottom edges over top edges.

  8. Gently stretch dough evenly around cheese, press to seal completely.

  9. Brush with beaten egg.

  10. Top with cutouts, brush with additional beaten egg.

  11. Bake 20-24 minutes or until golden brown.

  12. Cool 15 minutes.

  13. Serve warm.
