Garlic Bread Sticks

I think this is the first “recipe” I ever saved from home ec class in the 1960’s!!

Ingredients

  • bread slices
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup crushed corn flakes
  • garlic salt to taste

Directions

  1. Cut bread into slices about 1 inch strips; crusts may be removed (or not).

  2. Melt margarine; add garlic powder or salt.

  3. Dip bread sticks into margarine mixture. Toss in crushed cereal.

  4. Bake in 350 degrees oven 5 minutes, or golden, turn to brown both sides.
