Garlic Herb Crackers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups blanched almond flour
  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon salt-free italian seasoning or dried herb blend
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dark maple syrup, honey, or organic agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a food processor fitted with the steel blade, process the almond flour, sinflower seeds, herb seasonings, garlic powder, and salt until finely ground. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, and water.

  4. Add this mixutre to the dry ingredients and stir with a rubber spatula until a thick dough forms.

  5. Use your hands to form the dough into a thick square or rectangular mass.

  6. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out to about 1/8" thick.

  7. Transfer the dough (parchment paper and all) to a baking sheet. Remove the top sheet of parchment and cut the dough into cracker shapes using a pizza cutter.

  8. Bake for ~12 minutes or until golden brown and fragrant.

  9. Cool completely before separating into crackers.

  10. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
