Apple Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs tart apples
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbs. minced ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves or allspice
  • 1/2 tep. salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar

Directions

  1. Chop the apples, peeling optional. Place them in a saucepan with all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for 45 minutes.
