Ingredients

  • Italian tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg (16 oz.) ziti
  • 1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper, ground
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 350 deg. cook pasta according to package directions, drain and return to sauce pot.

  2. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups of tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.

  3. Spoon into 13×9 in baking dish sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Top with additional 1 1/2 cup of the pasta sauce and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil.

  4. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through. Serve with remaining 3 cups tomato sauce or freeze sauce for later use
