Beefy Rice Dinner

  • I lb of LEAN ground beef
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • McCormick's SALT FREE Savory Seasoning (to taste)
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)
  • Sea Salt (to taste)
  • Fresh Diced Tomatoes (or NO SALT ADDED canned diced tomatoes)
  • Brown Rice


  1. Brown and scramble ground beef, drain.

  2. Add veggies and saute with seasoning and a little bit of olive oil (as you know, don’t put more than you’re allowed, although if you’re cooking for more than one this shouldn’t be a problem).

  3. Add tomatoes, cook for about 5 minutes. While this is all cooking I cook my 10 minute brown rice.

  4. Note: I usually add olive oil, sprinkle of sea salt, garlic powder and McCormick’s savory seasoning to the rice while cooking it…..

  5. Combine beef and rice mixture and serve.
