Spinach-Cheese Swirls

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs water
  • 1/2 c Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 c parmesan cheese
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

Directions

  1. Thaw pastry sheet at room tempurature 40 minutes.

  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  3. Mix eggand water, set aside. Mix jack cheese and parmesan cheese, onion and garlic power.

  4. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Brush with egg mixture. Top with cheese mixture and spinach.

  5. Starting at short side, roll up like a jelly roll. Cut into 20 (1/2 inch) slices. Place on baking sheet. Brush with egg mixture.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm or at room tempurature. Makes 20 appetizers.
