Mac n’ Cheese

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • pinch salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 cups coarsely shredded Cheddar

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, cook macaroni according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.

  2. In the same saucepan, whisk together the milk, flour, salt and pepper.

  3. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.

  4. Cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes or until thickened and smooth, then remove from heat.

  5. Stir in butter and cheese until cheese is melted.

  6. Stir in macaroni.
