Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs of yeast
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 egg beaters
  • 6 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. solid shortening (crisco)
  • 1 tblsp salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Heat 1 cup of water in large bowl. Add shortening, sugar, and salt.

  2. Blend until shortening has melted. Let cool.

  3. 1 cup warm water, dissolve yeast and mix.

  4. When sugar mixture is lukewarm, add eggs, mix well. add yeast mix and mix well. Add flour and mix well.

  5. Dough will be a little sticky. Put in fridge overnight. When ready to make rolls pinch off with greased fingers a golf ball size.

  6. Roll in hands, place on greased cookie sheet. Let rise 2-3 hours.

  7. Bake at 400 deg. 10-15 min.
