Chocolate Chip Toll House Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 & 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 ounce package (2 cups) Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In large bowl, combing butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy.

  4. Beat in eggs.

  5. Gradually add flour mixture.

  6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

  7. Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 – 11 minutes.

  9. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
