Just Baked Potatoes

Yes…but some people need a guide.
I like my skins tender…I like to be able to eat my skins too.

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Baking size potatoes
  • Foil
  • Bacon Grease or olive oil
  • Kosher Salt (regular salt will work too)
  • Long metal skewers

Directions

  1. Thoroughly wash each of your potatoes.

  2. Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

  3. Place each potato on a piece of foil.

  4. Grease each potato with bacon grease or any kind of oil really. NOT butter as it will burn.

  5. Sprinkle with salt.

  6. Wrap in foil.

  7. Skewer the potato length wise on a long metal skewer. This will help conduct heat through the center of the potato.

  8. Place directly on oven rack.

  9. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes depending upon size of your potato.
