Wonton Poppers

Ingredients

  • 1 8ox pkg cream cheese
  • 1 Cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 4 oz. jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced
  • 1 tsp minced garlic (fresh preferred)
  • 3 green onions, diced
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 16oz pkg wonton wrappers
  • 1 quart oil for frying

Directions

  1. n a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, Monterey jack cheese, jalapeƱo peppers, garlic and green onions. Mix well and season with a little black pepper.

  2. Fill the wonton wrappers with approximately 1 tbsp. cream cheese mixture. Fold wrappers into triangles then press with moistened fingers to seal or seal edges as desired.

  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place 3-4 wontons at a time into the oil and quickly fry, turning once until golden brown. Remove to paper towels. Serve with your favorite chili dipping sauce, ranch dressing or naked.
