Tangy Burgers

  • 1/3 c mayo
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp grated lime peel
  • 1/3 c chopped green onion
  • 3 Tbsp plain yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 lbs ground beef (or other red meat)


  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayo, lime juice, mustard and lime peel

  2. Cover and refrigerate until serving

  3. In a bowl, combine onion, yogurt, jalapeno, salt and pepper

  4. Crumble meat over mixture and mix well

  5. Shape into 8 patties

  6. Pan-fry, grill, or broil until meat reaches desired done-ness

  7. Serve on buns w mayo mix and cheese if desired
