Orange Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (going to use orange cake mix)
  • 1 3-ounce package orange jello
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • -
  • GLAZE 1:
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • -

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • -
  • Glaze 3:
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons zest of orange
  • 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix cake according to package directions adding ingredients as listed above.

  2. Grease and flour a bundt pan. Pour cake into pan.

  3. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. NOTE: The cake mix box said 35 minutes…my oven had it done in about 38 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

  4. Choose one of the following glazes….

  5. Glaze 1: In a saucepan over medium heat cook orange juice, sugar and butter for two minutes. Drizzle over cake.

  6. Glaze 2: Whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice and orange zest. Prick cooled cake with fork and drizzle glaze over cake.

  7. Glaze 3: I USED THIS ONE Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring all ingredients to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and spoon over hot cake until absorbed.
