Amma’s Tomato thokku

Ingredients

  • Tomato
  • Turmeric
  • chilli powder
  • Vendhayam
  • kadugu

Directions

  1. Fry and powder 2tsp kadugu and Vendhayam.

  2. Cut 2kgs tomato into pieces and put in big pan and cook with lid closed.

  3. Once all the water evaporates add turmeric powder and salt.Keep cooking until all water gets dried.

  4. In a separate pan take sesame oil,heat to very hot and add kadugu and perungayam.

  5. Add chilli powder to cooking tomato and pour the hot oil to the chilli tomato.Mix and keep stirring.

  6. Once all the oil oozes out switch off the flame and add the powdered kadugu,perungayam.
