Easy Smoked Sausage and Rice Skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 bags Success white rice
  • 1 package Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage, sliced thin diagonally
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 large red bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add smoked sausage and cook until browned. Add garlic, onions bell peppers and broccoli and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add rice, broth and tomato sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with cheese.
