Party Dip Recipe Everyone Asks For

Ingredients

  • Round bread loaf
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 bunch of green onions chopped
  • 12 cloves of fresh garlic (already minced ok)
  • 12 oz cream cheese room temp
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 12 oz grated mild/med cheddar cheese
  • 1 can artichoke hearts water drained and cut into quarters (I leave this out)
  • 1 small french roll or baggette sliced thinly

Directions

  1. Cut hole in top of bread approx 5 inches in diameter. Scrape out bread making a bowl. Sautee 2 tbsp. of butter, onions, and half of the garlic until onions welt. DO NOT BURN! Cut cream cheese into small chunks and mix with onions, garlic, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Fold in artichoke hearts. Put into bread, put top back on, wrap double in heavy aluminum foil. Bake 350 degrees 1 ½ – 2 hours. Less time ok. Put rest of butter and garlic on sliced bread and cook last half hour.
