No-Fail Green Beans

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and washed
  • 1 tbsp mined garlic
  • 1-2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled


  1. In a medium pot, cover green beans with cold water and bring it to a boil; lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes (until desired crispness is achieved)

  2. Drain the green beans and set them aside

  3. Melt butter in a large skillet; and garlic and warm for a minute or two

  4. Add green beans and bacon pieces and stir to coat with butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste

  5. Serve immediately
