  • 1cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup bananas, mashed (2-3 bananas)
  • Glaze:
  • 4teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease and flour an 8-inch square baking dish and set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  3. In another mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and mashed banana.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir well to combine. The batter will be thick. Spread evenly into prepared baking dish.

  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let blondies cool completely.

  6. Meanwhile, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar until you get a thick glaze. Drizzle over the top of cooled blondies and let set for at least 10 minutes before cutting. Serve in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
