Flat Bread

Should yield about 8 “loafs”

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flour
  • 1 1/4 C Water
  • 1 Package Yeast
  • Sugar or Honey
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Warm the water

  2. Dissolve the Sugar/Honey in it

  3. Add Yeast to water and set aside

  4. Measure out your flour into a stand-mixer bowl

  5. Add salt to flour

  6. Optionally add any dried herbs you’d like

  7. Mix up the dry ingredients

  8. Add wet mixture to dry mixture and mix using the kneading attachment

  9. Add water/flour to get the right consistency (slightly sticky)

  10. Remove the dough from bowl and wrap with cling-wrap and place in fridge overnight if possible, otherwise let rise in a warm area

  11. Preheat the oven to 350F either with a stone or upside-down 10" cast iron pan

  12. Pull off enough to make a 9" disc

  13. Either pull it or roll it out to 9" disc

  14. Sprinkle the stone/pan with corn meal

  15. Place the disc on the cooking surface

  16. Cook for 3-5 minutes
