Crepes (Palatschinken)

Sweet crepes with jam

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Jam
  • Powdered Sugar

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients lightly with a wire whisk. Heat a flat crepe pan and grease lightly with butter. Pour a ladle of batter in the center of pan and tilt pan to spread batter into a thin circle. Cook on medium heat until lightly browned and flip and cook on other side until lightly browned. Stack on an ovenproof dish, cover lightly with foil and keep warm in a low oven.

  2. When ready to serve, put a tablespoon jam on a crepe and roll. Place two crepes on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
