Tzimmes, tsimmes, tsimmis

Making it up based on instructions from Blanche Sosland.

Ingredients

  • 15 prunes, pitted and soaked so they don’t discolor everything else
  • 1lbs short ribs (I used stew meat bc that’s what we had)
  • 2TBS lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large carrot
  • 3 smallish sweet potatoes
  • 2 mid sized potatoes

Directions

  1. Roughly cut

  2. Put in 9×12 roasting pan

  3. Cover with water

  4. Bake @ 325 covered
