Apple Cranberry Brie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c apple (about 1/2 medium apple)
  • 1/4 c sliced almonds
  • 1/4 c dried cranberries
  • 1 Tb brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tb butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 round (8 oz) Brie cheese
  • Apple wedges or assorted crackers

Directions

  1. Coarsely chop apple.

  2. Combine apple, almonds, cranberries, brown sugar, and cinnamon and mix gently.

  3. Stir in butter until ingredients are moistened.

  4. Cut brie in half horizontally. Place half the brie, rind side down, on a baking pan.

  5. Spoon half of apple mixture onto bottom half of brie, spreading evenly. Top with remaining apple mixture over top.

  6. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese is soft and just begins to melt.

  7. Serve with apples or crackers.
