Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. cold margarine or butter
  • 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 6-oz. pkg. almond brickle chips
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass dish).
  2. In medium mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
  3. Press firmly on bottom of 13 × 9″ baking pan. Bake 15 mins.
  4. Meanwhile, in medium mixing bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, eff, and vanilla.
  5. Stir in chips and pecans. Spread evenly over prepared crust. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
  6. Chill thoroughly. Cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator.
  7. Makes 36 bars.
