Serves 3 people

Ingredients

  • Wet
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1.5 dl milk
  • 2 tbsp butter , melted
  • Dry
  • 2.5 dl flour , at least 1/2 wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder , if necessary. less
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar , if necessary. partly vanilla sugar
  • For serving
  • butter
  • maple syrup

Directions

  1. Whisk together flour salt, sugar & baking powder in a large bowl

  2. Whisk the egg(s) in another bowl

  3. whisk down milk and melted butter.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones. Mix with a fork, DO NOT whisk.

  5. Fry in butter in a fairly hot frying pan. The batter is quite thick so you may have to take a spoon to help.

  6. Fairly large pancakes are a matter of taste! 1 – 4 per frying pan – depending on what you want.

  7. Heat until bubbles begin to form on top, turn and fry until golden brown underneath. If they are successful, they will be at least ½ cm thick.
