Five Spiced Chicken (oven baked)

  • 1T soy sauce
  • 1t salt
  • 1t chinese five spice
  • 1T red onion minced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1t oil
  • 1T shaoxing wine (or dry cooking sherry)
  • 1t sesame oil
  • 8 chicken thighs (or 4 leg quarters)


  1. Combine soy sauce, salt, onion, garlic, oil, wine,and sesame oil—set aside

  2. Preheat oven to 375F

  3. Place chicken on sheet pan

  4. Roast 35-40 minutes
