salt and pepper tofu

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 package of tofu
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Directions

  1. cut tofu into 1/2" thick slices and press between clean towels with a weight on top for 20 minutes or longer

  2. once pressed, cut tofu into bite sized pieces

  3. put the salt, pepper, and garlic powder into a bag

  4. add tofu

  5. shake until tofu is covered and let sit (the longer the better)

  6. fry tofu in a skillet with olive oil

  7. serve over rice

  8. can add fresh garlic slices and fresh ginger for added flavor.
