Scampi-Style Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced green onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 pound medium size raw shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • Dash of liquid hot pepper seasoning

Directions

  1. In a wide frying pan over medium heat, melt butter

  2. Stir in onion, oil, garlic, lemon juice, and salt; cook until bubbly

  3. Add shrimp to pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turns pink (about 5 minutes)

  4. Stir in parsley, lemon peel, and hot pepper seasoning
