Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 Tbs finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Barbecue Sauce

Directions

  1. 1) In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients except Barbecue sauce thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour for easier handling. In the meantime, preheat oven to 400 degree F. Form meat into 1-inch balls.

  2. 2) Place meatballs on a baking sheet with a rim and bake until lightly browned, 10-12 minutes. Transfer to a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish lightly coated with cooking spray or oil.

  3. 3) Reduce heat to 350°F. Pour sauce over meatballs. Cover and bake until heated through, 35-40 minutes.
