Farmhouse Basic Waffles

Use our Farmhouse Mix to make them quickly. If your kids don’t like walnuts, chop them finely in a food processor and add them to the mix.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 baking soda
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil/melted butter
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts, optional
  • top with bananas, strawberries

Directions

  1. Get your waffle iron ready.

  2. Pour waffle mix into a bowl. Mix all the wet ingredients and combine with dry ingredients. (NOTE: the batter should be on the thin side, so add more water or thinned yogurt if needed.)

  3. Add the walnuts and stir into mix. Cook according to waffle iron’s instructions.

  4. **This mix also makes good pancakes cooked on a griddle or skillet.
