Ginger Soy Salmon

(from cokerlj’s recipe box)

Haven’t tried as yet…but gonna try real soon!
Allow time for marinating…
Recipe recommends using filets and wrapping in foil in oven. I don’t see why you couldn’t use salmon steaks and place on the grill or broiler.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh salmon, skin removed, cut into 6 fillets
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 gloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

Directions

  1. NOTE: Recipe recommends using filets and wrapping in foil in oven. I don’t see why you couldn’t place on the grill or broiler.

  2. Prepare marinade by combining soy sauce, sugar, garlic and ginger in a small bowl.

  3. Place salmon fillets in a large, Ziploc and pour the marinade over it. Seal, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, turning occasionally to ensure the marinade covers all of the fish.

  4. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  5. Seal salmon in aluminum foil, place on baking sheet and place in oven.

  6. Cook for 15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Serve immediately.
