Ingredients

  • 1 frying chicken
  • OR
  • 2 pounds chicken tenders or breast pieces, cut in strips
  • 1 can canned milk
  • flour
  • Any of the following seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, poultry seasoning, cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, etc. (see directions)
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Wash, cut, chicken pieces.

  2. Saok in canned milk in refrigerator for 1 hour.

  3. Combine flour and any other spices desired. (I prefer to use just salt and I will sprinkle directly on my chicken.)

  4. Remove chicken pieces to cookie sheet with sides…this is when I salt…or you can add pepper and other seasonings now.

  5. Roll in flour. Fry in hot oil until golden brown…make sure whole chicken pieces are done through to the bone.

  6. GRAVY: Drain all but about 1/3 cup oil from skillet, trying to save as much of the brown crumbs as possible. Add about 1/3 cup flour, salt and pepper. Combine with oil. Add milk until skillet is about 2/3 full. Bring to a slow boil, whisking to prevent lumps. Simmer until thick.
