Bisquick Chicken and Dumplings

I prefer my Creamed Chicken or Chicken and Dumplings recipe in this book to this one.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots OR frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken OR 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (optional)
  • 1 cup cut up cooked chicken

Directions

  1. Heat milk, the peas and carrots, chicken and soup to boiling in pot.

  2. Stir baking mix and 1/3 cup milk until soft dough forms.

  3. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto chicken mixture. (Do not drop directly into liquid.)

  4. Sprinkle with paprika for looks.

  5. Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes.

  6. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
