Black-Eye Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 pound black-eye peas sorted and washed
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 - 7 slices of bacon cut into small pieces
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Bring to boil, simmer.

  2. Add water as needed until tender, about 3 hours.

  3. Serve with cornbread, ham & cabbage.
