Naomi’s Dill Gravy

Haven’t tried.
Naomi says this is good with hot biscuits. Her kids used to call it “Grass Gravy” and loved it. Can use for breakfast or any other meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 or 3 sprigs of chopped dill
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons oil or bacon drippings
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons flour (approx.)
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • milk as needed

Directions

  1. In a medium skillet add oil or bacon drippings. Add the chopped dill. Set stove on medium heat.

  2. Saute dill for just about a minute or less being careful not to scorch the dill.

  3. Add the flour and stir, add the milk at this time, stirring constantly, add enough milk to make a gravy to whatever thickness you like.

  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
