Lemon Accent Cous Cous

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Israeli cous cous
  • 1 tbsp chicken or beef bullion paste
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions

  1. melt butter and add one cup cous cous

  2. brown the cous cous then add 1 1/2 cups water and bullion 1/2 tbls

  3. stir and turn down heat to low for 7-8 min

  4. cover and let sit for 5 min

  5. while cous cous is sitting, put pine nuts on a non spray pan on medium heat

  6. add pine nuts to cous cous and stir in lemon zest, salt and pepper
