Cabbage Stir-Fry with Smoked Sausage

Your basic cabbage and sausage meal! Always good.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. smoked sausage (can be pork, beef or turkey) sliced
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion (more)
  • 1 large clove garlic minced
  • 1 small head cabbage sliced, about 8 cups
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add sausage. Cook until lightly browned…toss in sliced onion…then add minced garlic.

  2. Add cabbage, salt and pepper. Cook, covered and stirring occasionally, until cabbage is just wilted, about 4 minutes.

  3. Uncover, then cook and stir until cabbage is translucent and tender about 4 minutes more.

  4. You can serve over cooked rice.
