The Perfect Baked Potato

you can start in the microwave if you need speed, cook for 10-12 minutes on high; finish in the oven.

  • 1 medium size potato
  • canola oil
  • kosher salt
  • vegetable bush
  • paper towels
  • fork
  • small bowl
  • fireproof gloves


  1. eheat oven to 350.

  2. wash potato with veggie brush

  3. dry with paper towel

  4. poke holes in potato with fork

  5. pour canola oil into small bowl

  6. add potato and turn until all sides are lightly coated with oil

  7. sprinkle skin with salt

  8. place the potato directly on the rack in the center of the oven.

  9. check for doneness by giving it a gentle squeeze. If it’s crunchy on the outside but squishy inside, it’s done.
