Southwest Barbecued Chicken with Tomato Red Pepper Dressing

This is a spicy, healthy version of the classic favorite. You can cook the chicken in the oven or on the grill.
- red chile powder

- Tomato Red Pepper Salad Dressing
- whole roasted red pepper or pimento from a jar
- red wine vinegar
- water
- dried basil
- Combine all ingredients in a blende
- lean ground beef
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 14oz can tomatoes
- cabbage
- brown sugar
- Worcestershire sauce
- 14oz cans chicken broth
- sour cream
- chili powder
- green chilis
- large bell pepper chopped
- refried beans
- cumin
- garlic powder
- tomato paste
- shredded f/f or l/f cheese
I make this with chicken & double the sauce

- Salt & pepper to taste

- salt and about 1/4 t black pepper

Throw in at 2:00, practically forget about it, eat at 6:00. To really please the family, put a dozen frozen rolls out in the morning to defrost and rise, pop in the oven right before dinner.

- Diced tomatoes - 2 14.5 oz cans
- Large onion - chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves pressed
- Olive oil - 2 Tbsp divided
- Carrots - 2 large chopped
- Celery stalks - 2 small chopped
- Turnip - 1 medium chopped
- Green beans - 2 cups cut into 1" pieces
- Cabbage - 1/4 head chopped
- Thyme - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste
These are just your basic whole wheat pancakes. I usually make them with sauteed apples, cinnamon and sugar. Delicious and fluffy!
